Why leave a legacy?
Investing in the future
Leaving a legacy to CMS allows you to invest in future generations, allowing the love of God to be shared with others even after you are no longer here.
Why should I make a will?
Making a will is something that many of us put off or never get around to, but it is the only way to guarantee that your possessions will go to those who are most significant in your life. An act of care that enables you to provide in the future for those you love.
Not only can you make provision for family and friends in your will, but by leaving a legacy to CMS you continue to support our ministry beyond your lifetime, equipping others for future service.
Why leave a legacy to CMS?
Since it’s beginnings in 1799, CMS has been involved with sending upwards of nine thousand men and women to serve as mission partners around the world.
Today CMS is supporting the work of around 190 mission partners throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Alongside this, CMS also provides support in money, networking and expertise to mission projects in over 50 countries, which range from micro enterprise and community development to evangelism and leadership training.
The purpose of all of them is to share the transforming love of Christ with individuals and communities.
25% of CMS income is from legacy giving.
Over the years legacy income has:
• Made a contribution to the support of Mission Partners.
• Covered the costs of our team that help Christians and Churches in the UK develop a global perspective on their local mission.
• Helped towards the costs of our prayer and advocacy work, consultancy and events programme.
