what is Christianity?

Felipe Yanez Felipe Yanez, a mission partner in Britian, who is jointly sponsored by CMS and SAMS, works among the communities of Sparkhill in Birmingham.

Originally from Chile, Felipe, a youth worker, works with youngsters from various ethnic backgrounds - Pakistani and Yemeni, for example - in two local youth clubs.

He also uses a puppet show to tell Bible stories to audiences in churches and schools and to passers-by in local high streets, shopping malls and occasionally, an open-air market.

Puppet Mundo, as Felipe has named his show, has had a lot of media attention.  It was covered in a news item on BBC News 24 and was mentioned in a two-paged article in The Times.  His show was also an important feature at the CMS venue at last years Greenbelt.

Puppet Mundo aims to share the Gospel in a fun way, mainly through song.

In addition, Felipe has undertaken the training of teenagers to become 'puppeteers for Jesus'.  "These puppeteers, when they graduate, will be part of my legacy to St John's Church and to the local community in Sparkhill", said Felipe.
